Smooth and sexy disco from Carly. “Tranquillo” originally came out in ’78 (a few years before the Nile Rodgers produced bomb “Why”) and is a sough-after piece of mellow disco. The sun-drenched vibes soothes your mind and just makes you feel free and easy. Plus when you play it at the right time, all manner of niceness starts to happen around you (this works especially well on the beach or near the pool). Original Elektra promo copies exchange hands for decent prices, so get with the nice price reissue. Also includes the steamy sax jam “You Belong To Me” on the flip.
