The album that introduced the idea of Southern rock fusion to the world. Back in 1993 if someone asked you about Dave Matthews Band you’d most likely have no idea what they were talking about. Unless you were in Charlottesville, VA and had heard the band’s debut, Remember Two Things, or caught them live, that is. But by the fall of 1994 that all would change. Under The Table And Dreaming dropped that September and ushered in an ever growing fan base of Daveheads thirsty for the next extended live jam that the group had become famous for. “What Would You Say” was all over MTV and the airwaves, and the quirky South African born singer and guitarist was twitching his way into nearly everyone’s living room. The band’s multi-racial makeup and penchant for acoustic grooves informed by jazz and world music proved to be just what many people were waiting for.
