Who doesn’t love some to catch a predator kiddie funk? “Misdemeanor” has to be up there on the imaginary list of sheer brilliance. I’ve heard it hundreds of times, but it still retains its first spin freshness. This is not surprising for a member of The Sylvers family. If you’re into the crisp sound, production quirks, and Foster’s sincere delivery, then head to the B side for more. “When I’m Near You” is about as smooth and heartfelt as it gets. Taken from the Sylvers II LP, the cut boasts the sick production chops of Keg Johnson. Recommended.
