Debut studio album from Orlando’s Matchbox Twenty. Yourself Or Someone Like You was originally recorded in 1996 and featured a sound that smoothed out the rough edges of alternative and grunge. Frontman Rob Thomas channeled Pearl Jam’s Eddie Veder through a Tom Petty filter, while the band stuck to a classic album oriented rock blueprint. It’s not flashy music, but there are plenty of hooks to go around. Includes the songs: “Real World,” “Long Day,” “3 AM,” and “Push.” Twelve tracks in all. Released by Atlantic on limited edition red vinyl housed in a full color sleeve.
