SWIRLING, ETERNAL DEEP HOUSE FROM THE NETHERLANDS, REISSUED. Originally released in 2000 on Amsterdam-based Techno label Delsin, This repress of Jochem Peteri aka Newworldaquarium‘s ultra deep “Trespassers” comes courtesy of Peteri’s own NWAQ imprint. “Trespassers” is eleven minutes of intergalactic filter-boogie that twists and shifts, slowly drawing you in to its dusty groove (a tip from the disco edit crew points us toward a well-known Brazilian jazz-funk joint for the sample source). The “541 Dub” (which first appeared on the 2009 NWAQ repress) doubles down on atmosphere, flips the cut-up disco loop from the original mix into an even more hypnotic vibe and tosses out the slick funk bassline in favor of a deeper, heavier kick drum. Fans of Dez Andres, Moodymann and Pépé Bradock needn’t look any further.
