Here’s a Prince (RIP) song about a chance encounter with a girl, who happens to be wearing a impression-making headpiece, the “kind you find in a second hand store.” From the 1985 album Around the World in a Day, the track has been a Prince tour staple/fan favorite since release, and the heavily layered (strings, Middle Eastern finger cymbals), psychedelia-informed pop sound represents a shift from the more radio-friendly sound of the songs in Purple Rain, the album that precedes Around the World in a Day. The organ-driven rock number “She’s Always in My Hair” on the b-side!
