Third album from San Francisco’s Red House Painters. Red House Painters, also known as Bridge or Red House Painters II to distinguish it from their first eponymous album, was originally released in 1993. It is made up of songs from the same recording sessions for Rollercoaster. Like that album much of the material focuses on pain, desolation and loss. Their cover of “I Am a Rock” by Simon and Garfunkel is especially captivating. Includes the songs: “Evil,” “Helicopter,” and a second version of “New Jersey.” Eight tracks in all. Released by 4AD.
