Final studio album from San Francisco’s Red House Painters. Old Ramon was originally released in 2001, three years after band leader Mark Kozelek had completed the album. Held up in limbo due to a series of major label mergers in the late 90s, the album finally found a home on Seattle’s Sub Pop. The album’s song range from introspective acoustic folk rock to heavier electrified pieces. Kozelek delivered his most accessible album yet, with a lighter more joyous feeling that previous releases. Ten tracks in all. Released by Sub Pop on double smokey clear vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve with a download code.
