Third studio album from Hawthorne, CA’s Redd Kross. Third Eye was originally released in 1990 and was the band’s major label debut. While the band got its start in the SoCal punk scene of the early 80s, their sound had moved towards alt rock and power pop by the time of this release. There’s the aggressive rock of “Shonen Knife,” the Beatles indebted “Bubblegum Factory,” and the aggressive college radio hit, “Annie’s Gone.” The songs are a far cry from their roots, but the band’s song craft and humor remained intact. Eleven tracks in all. Released by ORG Music on limited edition green vinyl housed in a full color sleeve with a printed insert.
