Debut full-length from Bloomington, Minnesota’s Remo Drive… And as a promising new “emo revival” act, the trio certainly does not disappoint on Greatest Hits. Sad, wistful lyrics (by Erik Paulson), driving guitar riffs, and a punk attitude… The band checks all the right emo boxes, but rather than overdoing each of the elements, the group writes simple, to-the-point songs. As a result, the whole album feels very concise, and brevity is another element that is worthy of pointing out here. Check out “Art School,” “Yer Killin’ Me,” “Strawberita,” and “Crash Test Rating.”
