Ninth studio album from New York’s Sonic Youth. Washing Machine was originally recorded during the first half of 1995 and is filled with more open ended material than their previous releases. The band went to Easley Studios in Memphis, Tennessee, where indie rock bands like Pavement, Guided by Voices, and Grifters previously recorded albums. Includes the songs: “The Diamond Sea,” and “Little Trouble Girl.” Eleven tracks in all.
