The long-awaited debut album from the Dean Ween Group is here! The Deaner finds Ween guitarist/vocalist Dean Ween (lesser known as Mickey Melchiondo) stepping out on his own for an expectedly offbeat-yet-funky trip to the weirder side of rock & roll. After bandmate Aaron Freeman left Ween unexpectedly in 2012, Melchiondo kept plugging away at his guitar playing, never really expecting a solo record. The following years the Dean Ween Group was formed to play live, but this is the first time the band’s music has been put to wax. Melchiondo gets a little help from Ween live band members Dave Dreiwitz, Claude Coleman and Glenn McClelland, Parliament-Funkadelic guitarist Michael Hampton, Moistboyz frontman Guy Heller, and Meat Puppets singer-guitarist Curt Kirkwood. 14 tracks including “Exercise Man,” “Dickie Betts,” “Mercedes Benz” and more.
