Everyone knows 30 Degrees Everywhere is not the greatest sounding or best produced album from The Promise Ring. It showcases a band still coming into its form, and it’s not as pop oriented/approachable as LPs from its later-career stuff. But that is exactly why a lot of The Promise Ring fans rank the record high on their list; it’s raw, young, and captures a budding group w/ a knack (or potential) for writing really good, emo af songs. Listening to the wonderfully flawed 30 Degrees… will certainly bring back memories – check out “A Picture Postcard,” “Everywhere In Denver,” “Red Paint,” and “Anne You Will Sing.” This is the clear vinyl repress.
