Live album from the Godfather of Punk, Iggy Pop. Live Ritz NYC 86 captures a mid-80s set from Mr. Pop, recorded after the release of Blah-Blah-Blah. The tracklist is heavy with material from that release, but includes some other notable entries, as well. There is plenty of energy percolating throughout renditions of some of the bigger numbers from Pop’s catalog. However, some may lament that Pop channels Bowie maybe a little too much on the slower ballads. Includes the songs: “Gimme Danger,” “Sister Midnight,” “Nightclubbing,” and “China Girl.” Sixteen tracks in all. Released by Revenge Records on double translucent red vinyl housed in a full color sleeve with printed inner sleeves.
