Third studio album from England’s Jon Hopkins. Insides was originally released in 2009 and is made up of tracks from a variety of projects. Much of the album is based on music Hopkins composed for choreographer Wayne McGregor production, Entity. Also included is “Light Through The Veins,” a track that was written when Hopkins was co-producing Coldplay’s Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends along with Brian Eno. The track was initially used by Coldplay as the intro for the album’s first track “Life in Technicolor.” Insides is notable for the collision of live and electronic sounds that make up the album. Includes the songs: “Vessel,” “Wire,” and “Small Memory.” Ten tracks in all. Released by Domino on 180 gram vinyl.
