VP’s reggae anthology series has been stellar and this might be the most impressive one. Yeah, it’s easy to compile Junjo hits (and to a lesser extent Joe Gibbs), but with Niney, there’s not such a clear path. No better way to set it off with one of my favorite reggae cuts of all-time, Niney’s own “Blood & Fire” (and the matching Big Youth version). We then proceed into 26 curated, below the surface tracks from all the big artists. You’ll be amazed by the diversity of Niney’s productions from deep and dark to open and vibrant. Definitely one for the reggae heads. 28 tracks spread over double vinyl, recommended.
