Plaid’s second Peel Session gets an official vinyl pressing as part of the WXAXRXP series. The duo of Andy Turner and Ed Handley (aka Plaid) are no strangers to John Peel‘s recording studio, recording a total of three Peel Sessions over the course of their long running career. Their second session from 1999 came around the time of the Rest Proof Clockwork album, and features all original material, including the IDM-bounce of “Housework,” the playful leftfield beats of “Kiterider,” the gloriously glitchy “Elide,” and the downtempo abstractions of “Lazybeams.” Part of Warp’s 30th anniversary series of BBC sessions from all their flagship artists including Boards Of Canada, Richard D. James and more, housed in full color sleeve with spot gloss varnish, printed inner sleeve and download code.
