Fourth, and most likely final, studio album from New York’s School Of Seven Bells. SVIIB exists as a document of the final collaboration between Alejandra Deheza and Benjamin Curtis before Curtis’ untimely death from lymphoma in 2013. Deheza and Curtis were friends, lovers, and songwriters throughout the four albums that make up the band’s history. The duo worked on ever track on the album together before Curtis’ passing. Deheza’s lyrics track a largely biographical memorial of the time they shared. The energy of the material saves the album from feeling overbearing or morose. Includes the songs: “Confusion,” “A Thousand Times More,” “On My Heart,” and “Open Your Eyes.” Nine tracks in all. Released by Vagrant Records on limited edition purple vinyl with a download code.
