Late nineties west coast house muscle available again on the smaller, more portable format. The original mix of “Tomorrow People” is a nice slab of crunchy drums and bass oozing with Gregory Porter’s steamy vocals, but the Teflon Dub on the flip has got us all hot and bothered… a more potent, atmospheric garage-tinged take, with the Teflon Dons’ bulletproof west coast groove intact, swirling with all the dense euphoria of a vintage LTJ Bukem piece. The original 12” is exceedingly rare after 20 years, so its high time for this re-up, curiously repressed on 7-inch by the Dons’ own Worldship imprint in extremely limited numbers.
